How Inground Gunite Pools Are Made

Inground pools are the perfect way to create a backyard paradise for you and your family. But do you know how inground gunite pools are made? Taking the plunge into an inground pool can be quite a process, but at its core, only a few steps are involved in building an inground pool at your home or business.

Layout & Excavation

Before we start the construction of your new pool, our contractors will show you a detailed layout of your yard to give you an idea of what the finished product will look like. Then proceed with digging out the area for installation after getting your approval.

Excavation machines come in to dig as quickly and precisely as possible, and after, reinforced steel bars (rebar) are added for strength and stability. These bars keep your pool safe for years to come.

Plumbing & Equipment Installation

Pinnacle Pools & Spas will take care of your new pool’s necessary plumbing and electrical wiring. We use larger–than–standard pipes to ensure maximum energy efficiency throughout their life cycle. Afterward, we apply gunite – a concrete combination sprayed over the steel grid around the pool – to construct its internal structure.

After this step, tile, coping, and decking are added before setting up the necessary equipment (filters, cleaners), which must be tested to ensure it functions correctly and matches your pool‘s needs.

Interior Finish & Landscaping

The final step needed to complete your inground pool is the application of a waterproof interior finish. We will be there by your side to ensure you choose a style that perfectly reflects your tastes.

Additionally, we can provide landscaping services, so you can jump in and enjoy as soon as we leave!
